Evidence-minded guide

Spirulina and Joint Health

Spirulina is a nutrient-rich cyanobacterium used as a supplement. Its inclusion in a formula does not by itself establish a joint-health outcome.

Ask what outcome was tested

Research on blood lipids, nutrition or other outcomes should not be repackaged as evidence for arthritis, pain or mobility.

Check product quality

As with other supplements, contamination and product-quality questions can matter. Favor transparent manufacturing and testing information.
